Reviser's Block
Because I am a mondo weirdo, I make things difficult for myself. I’ve written 60,000 words and handed them off to my advisor and received them back with notes. It’s all generally positive, and I have the chance to make something I am very proud of. But whenever I open my files to revise, I can’t see a way to make it better. I’ve realized that “weird” has become the go-to passive-aggressive insult when you want to mark a thing as something you wish would go away but can’t be bothered (or are afraid) to describe how it offends you.
