When I was growing up in Brampton, I used to think that Mississauga was too big and that people from Mississauga were too glamorous for me. Everyone used to talk about Square One Mall as if it were the shit, and I felt embarrassed that all we had was Bramalea City Centre. I mean, it wasn’t like we were from Orangeville or anything, but we Bramptonians had a dignity that I don’t think Mississaugans could see, even though our major park had a *ski* hill made out of landfill. And we did go swimming in a former gravel pit lake that occasionally got clogged with so much shit they’d spend a summer cleaning it out.
But yeah, Brampton and Mississauga are pretty much the same place.
